The Mission of the PTA
•
To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in
the schools, in the community, and before governmental
bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting
children.
• To assist parents in developing the skills they need to
raise and protect their children.
• To encourage parent and public involvement in the public
schools in this nation.
MES PTA Goals 2011-2012
• To enhance the communication between the parents, staff and
the Mutual Elementary community, incorporating not only the
objectives and purpose of our National, State, County and local
PTA’s but also through our e-communication outreach program.
• To provide and encourage student creativity and enrichment by
hosting grade appropriate cultural arts programs and providing
transportation costs for fields trips throughout the school
year.
• To foster and promote the love of reading through the reading
incentive program and to contribute to the development of a
state of the art media and technology center.
• To strengthen our sense of community, family and school by
promoting quality education, striving to expand the cultural
arts, encouraging and working for a healthier and safer
community as well as, sponsoring school wide family events,
field trips and after school programs.
• To actively participate in maintaining Mutual’s Green School
Certification.
